Life in the Village /website/blog/What life is like here in Shadow Lake Village. WARNING: Once you read this, you are going to want to live here!Powered by: LinkUBlogAutumnThe leaves are just beginning to turn here in the Village. Its difficult to choose a favorite season because all four bring such beauty to our lovely surroundings. October is a busy month it seems. Lots going on here in the Village as well as in town (Red Bank) and all overMonmouth County. You will never be bored here!

Of course, the pool season is over for this year. Many of us miss our daily soak (well some actually swim). The Bocce season ended recently too. Bocce is becoming more and more popular. I understand their awards lunch was fabulous and extremely well-attended.

But, Autumn brings with it beautiful golfing weather. Folks are out playing tennis, kayaking, fishing and just walking about - its just a pleasure to be outdoors.

In the next couple of days, most residents will have received their Chatterboxes and hopefully seen my ad introducing this new website about Shadow Lake Village.

I want you to know, this is a work in progress. While I've spent an enormous amount of time adding content to this website, its never going to be complete. I will keep adding news, pictures, information - as I find it. I'm hoping it becomes a go-to place when residents (and those interested in becoming residents) need information.

So, I hope you like what you see already, but just know, there's a whole lot more to come. Enjoy and please share your thoughts about my new site!

 ~ Ellen

Fabulous Fakes Last night, 'Fabulous Fakes' hopefuls met at the Clubhouse for the first get-togther of the year. There was a big crowd including lots of new faces! Director, Marlene Ellman reviewed some of the music for the show and went over rehearsal times, etc. The dates for the show: June 13th, 14th and 15th. Obviously, tickets are not on sale yet, but my advice to you is: Get'em early! This show will sell out fast! Yours truly can't wait to get her "hammy" self back on stage, LOL. Stay tuned for more updates, though my lips are somewhat sealed ;-)

PS: Every resident that showed up, made it into the cast!
PSS: A good time was had by all.]]>

Our First SnowfallNo complaints from me! January 21st, it finally snowed! Most of the snowbirds missed this one! If you're reading this from sunny Florida or anywhere else, rest assured that those of us braving winter in New Jersey are doing just fine. Our new landscaper/snow remover (should be a more concise way of saying that) did a spectacular job of clearing the streets, and the sidewalks too. Kudos to them for a job well done!

Someone who shall go nameless, told me he played golf yesterday! Unseasonably warm weather is upon us. Like I said, no one is complaining.

Above is proof positive, Shadow Lake Village is enjoyable all year round.]]>
